Backstory

Reliable records of Astra before M42 are sparse. Her speech, bearing, and ability to move through expensive rooms suggest an education that does not appear in any accessible file. Whether that past was inherited, purchased, or carefully performed remains unresolved.

At M42, she is more than a singer. Astra works a room with the same attention other professionals give a battlefield: noting entrances, alliances, concealed weapons, and which patrons become careless when the music starts. Information gathers around her. What she does with it is the part nobody can verify.

She survives by revealing exactly enough to remain fascinating and never enough to become predictable. The distinction between her public persona and private intentions may exist, but no source has observed it safely.

Relationship to Orion

Orion knows Astra may be dangerous and keeps returning anyway. Astra recognizes the contradiction and rarely lets him forget it. Their connection is built from attraction, suspicion, and the inconvenient fact that each sees more of the other than either intended.
